presence of mind

“i am not absentminded. it is the presence of mind that makes me unaware of everything else.” — g.k. chesterton

i am very grateful God gave me a mind that loves to think and ponder and puzzle over things. but sometimes i wish it would stop over-thinking.

it can get dangerous to only hear your own thoughts again and again and again and again ad infinitum.

mind, go dwell on things that are outside of yourself. you’re not the center of the universe, much as you’d like to think you are.

that reminds me: tomorrow is nine months. it seems almost surreal now.
