realization

the nice thing about road trips is they give you plenty of time to think, so long as you’re not the one driving or navigating. on a whirlwind weekend trip to oklahoma and back i thought a lot and realized a couple of things i had hitherto not understood. they weren’t crushing realizations — uplifting or freeing are probably more correct descriptors — but they were things i think i tried for quite a while not to see.‎ seeing them was good.
