undone by love

fear has no place in the morning light

when the sun filters through the green

leaves festooning branches blowing gently

in the breeze.

fear is just a nightmare spun from cobwebs

telling tales to us that aren’t really true

manufacturing bitterness to fracture us

like glass.

fear involves punishment — it wounds

and limits spitefully, jealously keeping

us prisoner to its whims and fancies

of shadow.

fear is destroyed, undone by love

that surpasses all comprehension,

guarding hearts and minds through

the Author.

in the sunlight the Son shines brightly

but in the night He illumines the dark

that seeps into the heart through fear

and pierces it.
