everyone is unique
just like fingerprints
or ears
or blades of grass
so why the clique
the pickle-bottle label
even identical twins
are different
i know a pair
one has a freckle
one doesn’t
by outward signs
i’ve no idea which
is which
my ears aren’t even
carbon copies
one has a dimple
so why paint with
a broad brush
saying everyone
is unique
is just a fluffy way
to say no one
is the same
